July-
1. Coffee Shop- B.A.P
2. NoNoNo- Apink
3. Rum Pum Pum Pum- f(x)
4. U & I- Ailee
B.A.P's
Coffee Shop is a smooth jazzy song which soothes you as you listen to the great vocals, with Zelo's singing which surprised and delighted everyone. The music video was also soothing as well as delightful to the eye. ;) Apink's
NoNoNo brought joy to fans through their cheerful words of encouragement. The song also garnered much attention for their catchy dance and S.E.S-like costuming.
Rum Pum Pum Pum definitely brought out f(x)'s much loved uniqueness in both the music video and song. The dance wowed once again as did Krystal's pink hair. Ailee's amazing vocals blew everyone away once again with her song
U&I. She's definitely one talented idol.
August-
1. Hate You- Ladies Code
2. Growl- EXO
3. Badman- B.A.P
4. Do You Love Me- 2NE1
5. 1-4-3- Henry
Rookie group Ladies Code gave me chills with their haunting vocals in
Hate You. The symbolic music video was well done and still creeps me out, in a good way of course. EXO definitely shot up with their release of
Growl. The song is catchy, the dance is amazing and the music video was great. B.A.P's
Badman has a fantastic dance, amazing vocals and raps and six good-looking
boys men. Need I say more?
Do You Love Me by 2NE1 surprised everyone as it is somewhat different from their usual style. They pulled it off and the song still gets caught in my head. Henry did not disappoint with his follow up song,
1-4-3. The sweet love song got me smiling and Amber's featuring great.
September-
1. Pretty Pretty- Ladies Code
2. Crooked- G-Dragon
3. Who You?- G-Dragon
4. False Hope- Song
Jieun
5. Damaged Lady- Kara
The retro song, Pretty Pretty by Ladies Code got me with their catchy dance moves and quirky music video. The slightly feminist lyrics displayed a woman's confidence, which is rather hard to find. G-Dragon never fails to amaze me and he definitely wowed me with Crooked. The song is good musically as well as being catchy. Unsurprisingly, another GD song made it on my list this month. Who You? is a sweet song with a great music video which was pulled together with the help of V.I.Ps. Song Jieun came back solo with False Hope. Her vocals and the music video were so amazing that I had to re-watch it over and over. Kara came back with a mature image with Damaged Lady. The song and dance are both great and I just love their simple outfits as well as the elegant ones.
October-
1. Symptoms- SHINee
2. Everybody- SHINee
3. The Red Shoes- IU
4. Number Nine- T-ara
5. You Don't Know Love-
K.Will
6. Now- Troublemaker
Symptoms by SHINee just blew me away as soon as I heard the song. With Jonghyun's great lyrics and SHINee's amazing talent, Symptoms became another SHINee song I like better than their title song.
Everybody came a close 2nd though, and I absolutely love the dance. They are so synchronised and even though it is incredibly hard, they still manage to sing amazing on top of that. I really liked IU's catchy song,
The Red Shoes. She danced very well, her vocals are excellent and she looks amazing with her brown locks.
Number Nine is another catchy song by T-ara which has a fantastic dance to it. The girls look good in the music video and they sang very well. K.Will's
You Don't Know Love is a great song which though is sad, is rather calming to listen to. K.Will's voice so smooth and he will always be one of my favourite male soloists. Troublemaker made their sexy comeback with
Now. I love the story of the music video and they both do well in singing and dancing.
November-
1. Doom Dada- T.O.P
2. Missing You- 2NE1
3. Hush- Miss A
4. Ringa Linga- Taeyang
T.O.P's deep voice in
Doom Dada makes the song so pleasant to listen to. The music video is deep but quirky and the song is just so damn catchy that it's stuck in my head now! 2NE1's
Missing You is another song which is musically good. They all sing well and the music video was deep 2NE1 style.
Hush by Miss A is a song which presents their sexy side. They all look great, the song is catchy, the dance is sexy, what else more do they need? Taeyang's long waited comeback with
Ringa Linga caught everyone with the catchy chorus. The dance is excellent, but then again, what do we expect from Taeyang? It seems that November was a YG month!!
December-
1. Miracles in
December- EXO
2. Still You- Eunhae
3. Winter Song-
Freestyle ft Navi
4. Mornin'- G.Na ft
Phantom
EXO did it again with
Miracles in December. I still can't get over Chen's amazing voice and this definitely topped my winter songs list. Another SM song of December was
Still You by Eunhyuk & Donghae. It is very different from their previous songs as it is quite a soothing song. Yet you still get to see Eunhae ships sailing at the end!!
Winter Song by Freestyle is another smooth ballad of winter that I love listening to. A bonus was Song Jihyo's great acting in the music video! A more uplifting December song is
Mornin' by G.NA and Phantom's . Their melodic voices melded together very well and i definitely can't get enough of it.
Special Mention-
Climax-Team B
I support both Team B and WINNER, however I was sad to see Team B go back to training. This was one was my favourite performances of the year and I still cry after watching it a gazillion times. Hopefully both groups do well in the future!!
Soo that's a wrap for 2013!! What were your favourite songs of 2013?? :)
